Rutgers Football Player Eric LeGrand stood on a football field on Thursday during his recovery from a spinal cord injury he endured against Army. On day in which he stood, he stood for 7 minutes. The day later, he stood for 8 minutes. LeGrand said, "This is what I learned at Rutgers. Mental toughness. All those drills we do when we're out there, dying on the field. Had to just do it anyway to get through it and not get screamed at. This is how I live my life." LeGrand can feel his muscles moving in his biceps, triceps, back and chest. Standing on a football field was a huge step in his recovery.

BJ Daniels, South Florida QB, will undergo surgery on his non-throwing shoulder on February 5, 2010. He is expected to be out for at least 4 to 6 weeks. The Bulls are scheduled to begin practice on March 16. The Bulls are tentatively scheduled to begin spring practice March 16. "As much as we would love for him to participate fully in spring practice, our No. 1 objective is to make sure he has a complete and healthy recovery," new Bulls coach Skip Holtz said in a statement. "I'm sure he wants to be out there going full bore with his teammates on a daily basis, but his participation in meetings and in practice will be very beneficial to his progress as a quarterback."
